Found this place by accident, went in for a sandwhich but ended up having a fantastic king prawn paste. All the food is freshly cooked, so be prepared to wait but it is worth it.

We are privileged to have enjoyed the exceptional fine dining experience at Reeves Restaurant on many happy occasions. This evening during this unprecedented and difficult time we ordered a take away from resourceful Reeves - it was superb ! Thank you Justin and Claire for supplying your wonderful creations for us to enjoy at home.

We attended Dunster by Candlelight and wanted to eat out whilst we were there. Having looked up reviews, Google gave this place 5.0 out of 81 reviews. For a restaurant, this was an exceptionally high score, so we booked. Following the initial voicemail message, Reeves phoned back to ask our menu choices for this special meal. We expected to pay a deposit, but none was required. We were impressed at the attention to detail before the evening. This was mirrored in the high staffing levels, the superb quality of the food and the professionalism of the staff on the evening itself. There were hor d’oeuvres on the table when we arrived, our starter was duck egg Florentine which was great, I had chicken supreme with pasta; hubbie had the beef wellington (I did try a little and it was lovely). I left some of my lovely pasta to do justice to my dessert: lavender and (something) mousse – delicious. Hubbie had the chocolate torte, very rich and not sweet - he enjoyed it very much. Coffee and a petit four finished us off. We had glasses of prosecco and wine, and the choices were good, they complemented the food really well. For what we had (quality and quantity), I thought the cost was reasonable. We will return next time we visit Dunster. I have also posted this review on Trip Advisor.

What a wonderful place to eat, the whole team work very hard to make your meal an experience. Food is excellent well done to the chef 👩‍🍳 you will leave nothing on the plate except if you are full !! Well done to you all😋

We enjoy fine dining around the country and regularly try new places as well as old favourites.We have a new little place in Minehead and discovered Reeves earlier in the year. What an amazing find andcomparable to many top restaurants we have visited. All of the staff are terribly friendly and welcoming not to mention extremely efficient. Both Claire and Justin respond quickly to email queries and try to accommodate at the last minute where possibleWe love the cosy atmosphere and in particular the snug to have a drink before eating. The food is wonderful, particularly the taste and presentation but also the fact that the produce is local and right from our own doorstep.Now we have found this delightful establishment, we will make every excuse to visit where possible! On that note - hope to see you soon!

What can I say😁An amazing evening in an amazing restaurant!I grew up in Dunster, but now live in Bath where there are some fab eateries but decided to celebrate my 60th back home with family and friends.Reeves Restaurant opened its doors for the whole evening for 34 of my guests.... WOWOur evening began with pre dinner drinks in the fabulous garden , which on a glorious evening, was warm and snug with their wonderful outdoor heating.We then all sat down to an scrumptious meal of all sorts of delights...deliciously cooked local calamari, escargot, pigeon breast, oysters, sea bass, suckling pig, to mention just part of the menu. Justin and Claire and their staff were just incredible, the service was perfect and I cannot recommend this super duper little gem of a restaurant enough.!We all had the best evening and I certainly am going away with a great memory!
